Our babymoon in Maui was everything that we had hoped for! We had the best travel companions- our sister Calais and her husband Edwin, we stayed at the loveliest resort, and we thoroughly enjoyed every ounce of sunshine we could. Our days consisted of sun bathing by the pool, many games of farkle and cornhole, all the snacks, pool side beverages, midday naps, essentially living in our swimsuits, and anything that else that involved truly relaxing. It was such a blessing and so needed… we definitely feel rejuvenated and ready for a busy April before baby boy makes his grand arrival!

On Saturday evening, we took out the camera and decided to do some shooting along the gorgeous Kapalua beach. The sunset was beautiful and made for the softest light- which you all know brings this mama’s heart so much joy. We took some pictures of Calais and Edwin (coming to the blog soon!) and Calais also blessed us with capturing our maternity photos. We didn’t do formal maternity pictures when we were pregnant with Ireland, but we wanted to this time around as we wish we would have. I loved planning out our beach outfits and was so happy with my dress (Shop Pink Blush)! Can’t recommend Shop Pink Blush enough- fabulous customer service and the dress arrived at my doorstep in under three days! The quality is incredible, I’m so thankful I decided to go with them and will continue ordering dresses from them as I need them (they have more than just maternity!)

This was probably one of my favorite personal photo sessions we have ever done. Not only were we basking in the beauty of Maui… but it was such a relaxed shoot. Sean and I have had to learn how to pose ourselves over the years… but this shoot felt different. There’s something special about maternity pictures- just knowing it’s you and your loved one, soaking up the peace and quiet together, dreaming and anticipating about your soon-to-arrive bundle of joy… it’s hard to put into words. All I can say, it felt magical… and we were so happy to see the end result was the same. <3 Also- pink will always be my favorite color…. but with baby boy on his way… I’ve officially warmed up to blue!
