Last October, on a gorgeous fall evening, we arrived at Cathedral Park to get ready to shoot a very precious moment for Anson & Sahrina. Anson was planning on proposing that evening at 6pm, and so we showed up around 5:30 to scope things out and to make sure that we wouldn’t have any photo bombers for this precious moment. If you’re local to Portland and know Cathedral Park well, you probably know this is one of the more popular parks in the area, especially for photos. So, I slowly started approaching people around this epic spot underneath the bridge to politely ask them if they would be willing to clear the area for a few minutes as a very special proposal was about to take place. Thankfully, everyone was happy to oblige. It was perfect- the sunset falling behind the bridge created such a lovely soft light, and within seconds, Anson was down on one knee, Sahrina squealed yes, and as of that moment, they were engaged to be married.

Flash forward to now… We were so excited when they asked us to shoot their engagement session and their upcoming September wedding. When contemplating where to go for their engagement session, Anson & Sahrina decided that they wanted to go back to where the marriage journey began- the proposal site. Yet again, another beautifully perfect evening in Cathedral Park. We still cannot believe the incredible weather we had for this shoot in APRIL 🙂 We hope you all love these photos as much as we do! <3
