I’ve been doing weddings for ten years now solo, five years with Sean, and together we have had the grand privilege of capturing over 100 weddings. In all of those weddings, never have I ever had to saran wrap my camera and think to myself, “We’re going to get struck by lightning today!” Well folks… I have good news: NO ONE was struck by lightning, and this wedding was one of our favorites to shoot to date!!! Also- the cameras are just fine 😉 Thank you saran wrap!
It was 6:30pm, guests had all arrived and were enjoying the pre-ceremony cocktail hour while trying to stay dry as it had currently been down-pouring. Ben had to make a decision and had to make one fast. Keep all the guests dry, cram everyone into the “cave” and get married there? OR risk everyone getting soaking wet and have their ceremony in the location that they had previously planned?! Tick tock tick tock tick tock. We looked at him and said, “Ben… it’s your call, but know everyone here today is here for YOU AND TRACY. If it downpours again, at least we’re all getting down poured on together!” He thought of his beautiful bride and her wishes to have their ceremony at this stunning location, trusted his administrator gut (he’s an elementary school principal), and made the call… “We’re doing it! Let’s get everyone shuttled up to the original ceremony location!” And friends… it ended up being just PERFECT!
To say we had an adrenalin rush while shooting is an understatement. With lightning and thunder behind Tracy & Ben as they committed their lives to one another before their family and friends, it was truly EPIC. This whole event was SO MUCH FUN to capture, from start to finish. We loved loved loved their awesome bridal party, their super sweet families, and of course all of their guests! From heart-warming toasts, to their delicious dinner, their amazing venue and event coordinator, Julie at Karma Vineyards…. Their GORGEOUS floral arrangements by Fleur de lis Floral & Event Design… it was truly an amazing day with a dream team behind it. Tracy’s mama did an incredible job with the reception design & décor. Her vision came together beautifully and it was an honor to capture it! We also thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Jason from Jason Lomeda Films and Sean from Seattle Wedding DJ.
Tracy & Ben: You had so many options when choosing who to photograph one of the biggest days of your life… and we’re so blessed and humbled that you chose us. It was truly a privilege to be a part of your day- we loved every moment! We seriously have LOVED going through your gallery and picking our favorite moments and images from your day… and we hope you get to kick back with a glass of wine and enjoy reliving your day through this little glimpse of what’s to come…. <3 We love you guys and hope you have the best honeymoon next summer in Europe!
